Let's Meet!


Thank you for your interest in my labor support services, and congratulations on your pregnancy and upcoming birth! The following steps will help you better understand the booking process.

Step 1: Initial Consult

Please note that taking advantage of a free, in-person, initial consultation is a requirement for contracting with me for doula care. This first meeting, usually done in your own home, will help to ensure that we're a good fit. If you have not already met with me in person to discuss my services, please call or email me to schedule an initial consultation.

If you’ve already had your free consultation with me, follow the steps below to book my doula services.

Step 2: Service Agreement

View the detailed Service Offerings and Fees and Packages , as well as my Service Agreement to make sure you understand my policies for doula services, back-up doulas, and refunds. If you wish, you may download and print the agreement for your records.

Once you decide that you would like to work together, I will send you an electronic version of the Service Agreement for you to sign.

Step 3: Deposit (Prenatal and Postpartum Services Fee)

Upon signing the Service Agreement, I require a deposit equivalent to 50% of the total. The remaining 50% balance is due by the 36th week of pregnancy or the second prenatal visit, whichever is later. I am flexible in terms of payment plan options, so feel free to email me to discuss a different payment schedule.

When I send you the Services Agreement, I will also send you an invoice with a payment schedule. You can pay through the invoice using a credit card or an HSA card.

You may also pay using one of the following methods:

  • Google Wallet to kmaresca@gmail.com

Please let me know if you would prefer to pay by check.

Step 4: Complete the Client Intake Forms

The Client Intake Forms will provide me with information that will help me better serve your needs during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. I use a secure electronic records system for storing client information, and will send you a link to your forms once I receive your contract and deposit.

Step 5: Book Your Appointments!

I normally see clients two times prenatally:

  1. After/near completion of your childbirth classes (if applicable)

  2. At 35-36 weeks of pregnancy (or one week after visit 1, whichever is later

I will email you to schedule your prenatal visits once I have received your deposit and contract. Please note that, while I try to remain available for my doula clients, I recommend that you schedule with me at least 2 weeks prior to your desired appointment dates.

Step 6: Read This Important Additional Info

Before our prenatal visits, please feel free to email me with any questions! I also ask my clients to send me a quick email after every visit with their primary attendant to keep us in contact.

Please remember that, with my doula support, you get out what you seek out! If you contact me with questions and keep me in the loop about what you’re discussing with your primary attendant, etc, I can provide you with resources and info and be a sounding board for you as you make decisions along the way. If you don’t reach out, I can’t help!

Due to the nature of my work, I am occasionally away for several days at a time and may not always be able to respond to emails immediately. If you require URGENT access to me prenatally, please phone me at 720-884-6492 and let me know you need to speak with me urgently. If it’s a non-urgent inquiry or request for info, it may occasionally take me a couple of days to get back to you if I happen to be at a birth with a different client.

And now you're done! Childbirth is an awesome experience, and I'm thrilled that you have chosen me to be part of your birth team
